The port 43 whois system has become unusable for many purposes. All of the major registrars have restrictions in place to block automated queries and I don’t have the resources to manage the disparate requirements to acquire unblocked access at each registrar. Because of this, and a general lack of demand and resources to maintain the codebase, it has become necessary for me to move on from whois.
